Open
Water Diver/
Jr. Open Water Diver (12-14
yrs.)
Where to begin! This course will
give you the knowledge and skills you'll need to safely visit the
underwater world. Upon completion, you will be awarded the PADI
Open Water Diver certification card. Professional dive store personnel,
boat operators and other professionals in diving will ask to see
your certification card before they will allow you to rent or buy
scuba gear, obtain air for your tanks, or participate in diving
activities. Scuba For You will make sure you have fun getting
certified, and preparing for the excitement of entry level diving
in your local area and around the world.
Requirements:
5 Lectures, 5 confined water sessions, 4 open water dives, and 1
optional skin dive.

Advanced Open
Water
The next step. This course continues
the open-water training, and is a prerequisite for many specialty
courses. You'll be introduced to specialty-diving activities
which may count toward your certification in each of them.
Requirements: 5 dives,
consisting of 3 core dives - deep, night, navigation - and 2 elective
dives (boat, multilevel, drift, search and rescue, under water naturalist). |
Rescue Diver
Mid-level rating. Refine
your ability to prevent problems
and develop the specific skills you need to respond to a diving
emergency. Successful completion of the Rescue Diver course
through Scuba For You will increase your confidence in
your personal diving ability.
Master
Diver
Highest nonprofessional rating.
This prestigious rating means you've developed skills and experience
in a broad range of diving specialties and environments.
Requirements: You will need to either
1) become a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, a PADI Rescue Diver
and earn five Specialty Diver ratings or 2) become a PADI Divemaster
and earn five Specialty Diver
ratings.

Dive Master
The first level in becoming
a professional. During the Divemaster course, you'll sharpen your
diving skills to demonstration quality, gain a professional-level
understanding of diving theory, learn how to organize and conduct
diving activities, and learn how to supervise divers in training.
Diver with this rating can assist in classes, and lead dives.
